How do I secure my room?
During booking, you will pay a small booking fee to secure your room. This fee becomes your refundable deposit as soon as your tenancy begins.
How safe is my deposit?
We hold your refundable deposit in a secure and independent tenancy deposit scheme. As soon as your tenancy is finished, if your rent has been fully paid and as long as you've not caused any damage to the property, we will refund your deposit to you in full.
If you have caused any damage to the property during your tenancy, we will use part or all of your deposit to make the appropriate repairs.
Do I need a Guarantor?
You will require a guarantor if you are paying your rent in instalments. This gives both us, and you, the security that your rental payments will be paid in full. Your guarantor must be a permanent resident of the UK, must have lived in the UK for more than three years, and is recognised by HMRC as a taxpayer.
If you choose to pay your rent in full for the whole year at the start of the year, you will not require a guarantor.
How can I pay?
You can pay via a direct debit or bank transfer. Unfortuantely, we do not accept cash or cheques. Please contact your accommodation manager directly should you wish to amend a payment method that you have already set up.
Do I need to pay Council Tax?
While you are a student at University, you are not required to pay Council Tax. However, as soon as your course ends and you are no longer regarded as a student, if you continue living in the UK, you must begin paying this.
Is there 24-hour CCTV Coverage?
Each of our buildings have a secure entry system, as well as 24-hour CCTV Coverage. We give each of our students a 24-hour phone number to call in case they have any concerns about safety or security.
Do you have an on-site launderette?
We have an on-site, communal launderette available to all students in each property. This service is available at a small charge.
Is Smoking allowed?
We follow a strict No Smoking policy in each of our properties, however, there will be designated smoking areas outside your building.
Who will maintain the building?
Our Maintenance team will ensure that anything broken or faulty will be fixed right away. You can contact your Accommodation Manager to report a fault.
Am I responsible for my own cleaning?
Whilst we will ensure that all corridors and communal areas are kept clean and tidy for your use, you are responsible for cleaning your own room, kitchen and bathroom..
Can I bring my car with me?
Parking is limited for our properties.
